I found that girls hairbands from Dollar Tree work quite well and you can stack several on your scrotum as a stretcher.

It's just a matter of what feels good and what you like. Nothing wrong with trying out different ideas. Personally I don't really care for the stretchy ones. I have to metal cockrings that I love to use. Mine are 2" (50 mm) and are loose when I'm limp but really snug when I'm hard.
