Spammers

Don't think I'm on my own here...

How frustrating is all these fake profiles...
Join, hit us with loads of spam links, messages etc etc...

I've been reporting each and everyone... tedious I know...
I'd like to ask you to help report any spam left on my videos or pictures...
I will do the same on other profiles...

Theory being if we all club together and report... surely xham will slowly get the message... and take better steps towards dealing with it... (or can I dream ?)

The almost daily spam requests are SO obvious, and yet folks (mostly men) fall for them. I report each and ever one of them, every time!!

It's the folks who catfish that are more difficult to discover - but there are almost always tell-tale signs with them, as well!

Any profile that has a non xhamster web link should be automatically suspended

至 willywankingwilliam : The "Julias". I get hit with at least one almost every time I log on. The profile always seem to end with a string of numbers. And the profile, usually a few minutes, at most a few hours old, has a bunch of links to Julia something.

i just delete friends requests with dodgy profiles but after reading this blog i will now report , every time i use hamster i usually receive an invite within 10 minutes , is this happening to everyone ?

I'be been doung the same too for some time, blocking friends invites from everyome and messages limited to friends.... Not as bad as I was a couple of months ago though x Richard x

I do the same, spam is a nuisance and will bring an end to this site if we don't work together. I suggested to XH that a new profile should have some restrictions, such as not allowed to ask to friend or to comment for 5 days, just spend the time looking around. Then open to comments and they must make comments (clean, no spam) on vids, pics, etc. for 5 days and then open to friend requests. I would bet that 99% of spammers would not spend the time or effort to get past ten days of probation to gain full access to the site.

Every time I log in, I have a bullshit friend request by a spam bot, it's annoying as hell!

I'm with you here, and always report the spammers when I see them. Also, via the "my news" button, you can delete the posts from your uploads comments section. Tedious yes, but hamster are pretty good at deleting the spam accounts once they receive notifications.

its difficult as I would think to make it anymore secure than it already is, would put people off from joining, most fake profiles I get requests from get removed very quickly
