Walk a mile in someone's shoes

I guess I can finally understand or rather can relate to when people think they don't look their best or dislike some features, be it their face or nose or the way they walk when others think they're just perfect the way they are. I myself think I have a small cock but every women I've been with says the opposite and its not just a pity thing either because some of them are the straight forward kind (which is what I usually look for as I am also a straight forward person).
